The order of adjectives
This is the correct order of adjectives.
Examples:
I love that really big old yellow car that always parked in front of the bank.
BIG => size
OLD => age
YELLOW => color
(“THAT” is a determiner).
I would like to buy this round, pink, plastic coffee table.
ROUND =>shape
PINK => color
PLASTIC => material
My mother is going to bake a delicious, huge, chocolate cake for my birthday.
DELICIOUS => opinion
HUGE => size
CHOCOLATE => material
***Adjectives expressing quantity go before adjectives expressing opinion. ***
Example:
In my bedroom, there are five small green boxes.
FIVE => quantity
SMALL => size
GREEN => color
